Hi there, I’m Zeus! I am a 9-year-old, 97 lb neutered male. I am already housetrained and crate-trained, though I am a gentleman who does not need to be crated when left home alone. I am a low energy boy and will take a nap while you’re out.
I have done well with both men and women with proper introductions. I am sensitive in my left hip due to hip dysplasia so I would prefer a home without small children who may accidentally hurt me. I will seek affection and love being pet, especially head pats or butt scratches. I will welcome visitors to our home if I am properly introduced to them.
I am neutral with other dogs and could do well with a sibling or two. I am not playful so I wouldn’t make a good playmate—I’ll leave that to the younger dogs! I haven’t shown an interest in toys. I love to spend time outside and watching over the yard so I would do best with a fenced yard so I can explore safely. I cannot go to a home with cats.
I walk well on leash and ride well in the car making me a great errand partner! I have been working on learning commands and know sit, down, leave it, and stay. I’ll need to stay on joint supplements to support my hips and also love going for a couple short walks a day to keep me moving. I am a quiet boy ready to find my perfect retirement home—- could that be with you?

Echo Dogs fosters dogs in many states east of the Mississippi. Visit our Newcomers to see more of our dogs. Transportation for the adopted dog is available. Remember, we are an all-volunteer foster rescue organization - we DO NOT have a physical shelter to visit. Our minimum adoption donation is $350. All dogs are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations and micro-chipped. Puppies under 6 months old may not be spayed/neutered. This would be the responsibility of the adopter at their own expense. Proof of spay/neuter will be required!
