Volki Flyer 4-30-24

Hello! My name is Volki and I am a 5.5-year-old, 100 lb neutered male. I am currently working on losing weight with a goal weight of 90 lbs—my adopter will need to be committed to continuing my weight loss journey. I am already housetrained and crate-trained. I don’t seem to need to be crated when left home alone as I will settle after a couple minutes!

I love people and will try to convince men, women, and children that I am lap-sized. As a result, I would likely be too much dog for real small children. I am eager to receive affection and love to snuggle. If I feel like you haven’t given me enough pets today, I will remind you so you do not forget. I love being pet and brushed (and my foster family says there’s lots of me to pet and brush). I am welcoming to visitors to our home.

I have done well with other dogs and play well with my foster siblings! I would love to have an active playmate in my new home. I haven’t shown much interest in toys, but I do know a good bone to chew when I see one (the answer is all of them). I cannot go to a home with cats.

I am well-behaved for car rides and walk fairly well on leash, I only pull slightly, so I would love to put in my resume for a position as your new adventure partner! I have learned sit and come. I am working on down and leave it now. I would love to continue my training! I can be vocal and tell you all about my feelings. I am a joyful, chatty, loveable marshmallow ready to find my perfect adoptive family—are you my family?

Echo Dogs fosters dogs in many states east of the Mississippi. Visit our Newcomers to see more of our dogs. Transportation for the adopted dog is available. Remember, we are an all-volunteer foster rescue organization - we DO NOT have a physical shelter to visit. Our minimum adoption donation is $350. All dogs are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations and micro-chipped. Puppies under 6 months old may not be spayed/neutered. This would be the responsibility of the adopter at their own expense. Proof of spay/neuter will be required!
