Hi there! My name is Tyrone and I am a 4-year-old, 77 lb neutered male. I am already housetrained. I struggle with separation anxiety and need someone willing to continue working with me to be confident when by myself. I am uncomfortable in a crate and will attempt to break out, so crate-training is a work in progress.

I love people and am social with both men and women. I am easily excited and can be mouthy when trying to elicit attention from my people, so any children in my home should be older. I can be a Velcro Dog at times with not wanting to leave your side! My foster mom has been working with me to improve my manners when I get excited and I am improving. I will happily welcome visitors to our home once you introduce us! I love making new friends!

I have done well with other dogs after a proper introduction and love wrestling with my foster sister! I would love to have a playful canine sibling in my new home as well! I love toys! I am working on taking toys gently and learning how to play fetch! I cannot go to a home with cats.

My leash skills are a work in progress: I will attempt to zig-zag at the end of the leash to sniff all the smells and will bark if we see other dogs. I go for several walks a day with my foster mom and am learning how to be more polite. I like the car and will eagerly get in! I may whine as I don’t understand why it takes so long to get where we’re going. I thrive when given structure, routine, and security. I would love to find a family willing to continue training and working with me as I have a lot of potential, but struggle with impulse control when I get amped up which makes me a bit of a diamond in the rough. Could you be my perfect adoptive family?

Echo Dogs fosters dogs in many states east of the Mississippi. Visit our Newcomers to see more of our dogs. Transportation for the adopted dog is available. Remember, we are an all-volunteer foster rescue organization - we DO NOT have a physical shelter to visit. Our minimum adoption donation is $300. All dogs are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations and micro-chipped. Puppies under 6 months old may not be spayed/neutered. This would be the responsibility of the adopter at their own expense. Proof of spay/neuter will be required!
