Hi there! My name is Teddy and I am a 4 year old, 43 lb spayed female. I am already housebroken and crate-trained. I am currently crated when left home alone at my foster home. I view my crate as a safe space and enjoy having it available.
I will warm up to both men and women, though I am reserved with strangers. I will back away if someone I don’t know attempts to pet me until I’ve had time to sniff them over. With my family, I will sit by you for head or butt scratches and I love to snuggle on the couch or bed! I cannot go to a home with young children. I would prefer a quieter home with few visitors.
I adore little dogs and will need to have a confident smaller dog in my home to help show me the ropes. I respect the other dog and will wrestle with playful dogs and ignore dogs who don’t want to play. I do not like dogs larger than me—they’re scary! Although I will warm up to them after a slow and proper introduction, I’d prefer a home without large dogs. I have also met my foster family’s cats and ignore them, so I would be ok in a home with kitties.
I like to play with toys with other dogs, though I rarely pick them up on my own. I don’t mind going for car rides and have almost mastered my leash skills for when we go for outings. I have stood well for my nails to be trimmed and was well-behaved at the vet office. As I can still be anxious around new things, I’d love a family who will continue working with me on my socialization.
If you’re looking for a quiet, playful, pretty pup to join your small family, maybe I could be the pup for you?

Echo Dogs fosters dogs in many states east of the Mississippi. Visit our Newcomers to see more of our dogs. Transportation for the adopted dog is available. Remember, we are an all-volunteer foster rescue organization - we DO NOT have a physical shelter to visit. Our minimum adoption donation is $300. All dogs are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations and micro-chipped. Puppies under 6 months old may not be spayed/neutered. This would be the responsibility of the adopter at their own expense. Proof of spay/neuter will be required!
