Hi! My name is Starr and I am a 1-year-old, 45 lb spayed female. I am already housetrained and crate-trained. I am still young so I will need to be crated when home alone.
I am social with men, women, and older children. I cannot go to a home with small children. I am very affectionate and will seek my humans out for snuggles, especially when we are enjoying a movie night.
I need a proper introduction by a confident, skilled handler in order to get along with other dogs. I am currently fostered with a male German Shepherd and a female Siberian Husky—I get along well with them and we play hard together. I cannot go to a home with small dogs or cats. I like my toys although I haven’t learned how to share my toys with other dogs. I would benefit from a private, secure fenced yard.
My leash skills are still a work in progress as I will pull slightly. I may react when I see other dogs and would do best walking in a quiet neighborhood while I work through it. I like going for car rides and could be a good training or adventure partner! I am fostered in Gardner, MA and am ready to find my perfect local adoptive family—I must meet my adopter prior to adoption to ensure they will be able to handle me around other animals.

Echo Dogs fosters dogs in many states east of the Mississippi. Visit our Newcomers to see more of our dogs. Transportation for the adopted dog is available. Remember, we are an all-volunteer foster rescue organization - we DO NOT have a physical shelter to visit. Our minimum adoption donation is $300. All dogs are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations and micro-chipped. Puppies under 6 months old may not be spayed/neutered. This would be the responsibility of the adopter at their own expense. Proof of spay/neuter will be required!
