Squirt Flyer 3-29-24

Hi! My name is Squirt and I am a 3-year-old, 65 lb neutered male. I am already housetrained and crate-trained. I am currently crated when left home alone at my foster home, though I have done well left loose overnight while my foster mom sleeps so I may be able to be uncrated if my new family wanted to work on it.

I have done well meeting men, women, and older children. I can be reserved initially then warm up quickly—I love receiving attention and treats! I will seek affection from my people and enjoy being involved in family activities. I will vocalize to let you know if I am being left out of something fun! I will welcome visitors to our home.

I am great with other dogs and understand social cues! I do well adapting to my foster sister’s preferences during play time. I love to destuff plush toys and haven’t figured out what those other sturdier toys are for. Fences are trivial to me as I can easily scale a solid 6-foot fence, so I will need to go to a home where I will be kept on leash at all times outside even if you have a fenced yard. I have a strong prey drive and cannot go to a home with cats (or chickens, or other small animals).

I like tagging along for car rides and walk fairly well on leash, only pulling slightly. I have already learned sit. I have great manners when we leave the house and am a perfect adventure partner! My foster mom says I’m one of the easiest dogs she’s fostered. I can be vocal when I want to communicate, and sometimes I will howl along if I hear sirens! I am a sweet, intelligent boy who is ready for the next chapter of my life—could you be part of it?

Echo Dogs fosters dogs in many states east of the Mississippi. Visit our Newcomers to see more of our dogs. Transportation for the adopted dog is available. Remember, we are an all-volunteer foster rescue organization - we DO NOT have a physical shelter to visit. Our minimum adoption donation is $350. All dogs are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations and micro-chipped. Puppies under 6 months old may not be spayed/neutered. This would be the responsibility of the adopter at their own expense. Proof of spay/neuter will be required!
