Hi! My name is Skylar and I am a 1-year-old, 40 lb spayed female. I am mostly housetrained and am already crate-trained. I am still young so I will need to be crated when left home alone for my own safety. It is common for me to submissively urinate when first let out of my crate.
I am a social girl with people and have done well meeting men, women, and young children! I am a Velcro dog who always wants to be near my people. I will actively seek affection and adore snuggles! I will look for hugs when I am feeling unsure.
I have not done well with other adult dogs so I will need to be the only dog in my home. I have done well with young puppies which could be an option for making friends once I am settled in my home. I have not shown much interest in toys, I’m not entirely sure what they are? I have done well with the cats in my foster home, including a young kitten!
I walk fairly well on a leash and only pull slightly, so I could be a good walking partner! I am unsure in new situations, so walks are a good way to help build my socialization as well. I am high energy so a home where I’ll get continued socialization and training will be beneficial! I have been hesitant about cars and am still learning they are a good thing! I am a shy, sweet girl who is ready to find my perfect adoptive home—could that be in yours?

Echo Dogs fosters dogs in many states east of the Mississippi. Visit our Newcomers to see more of our dogs. Transportation for the adopted dog is available. Remember, we are an all-volunteer foster rescue organization - we DO NOT have a physical shelter to visit. Our minimum adoption donation is $300. All dogs are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations and micro-chipped. Puppies under 6 months old may not be spayed/neutered. This would be the responsibility of the adopter at their own expense. Proof of spay/neuter will be required!
