Hello there! My name is Silvia and I am a 6-year-old, 60 lb spayed female. I am working on my housetraining and doing well with a schedule. I do well with the crate, though I do not need to be crated when left home alone.

I have done well with men, women, and older children. I can be cautious and shy when first meeting someone new, so very young  children would likely be overwhelming for me. I have started actively seeking affection and snuggles from my foster mom. I have pretty neutral feelings about visitors coming to our home.

I love the company of other dogs and now that I’m settled in my foster home, I play often with my smaller foster sister! I haven’t shown interest in toys. I have also met some cats and done well so I wouldn’t mind having a feline sibling!

I like rides in the car if you can help give me a boost in! I am working on my leash skills and am doing well! I only pull slightly and am working on not barking when we see other dogs. I am good about coming when called and am working on my other basic commands with my foster mom. I am currently receiving weekly B12 injections to supplement my body in making my own after labwork showed I had low levels. I shouldn’t need them that often long-term but it will be something to monitor to make sure I stay healthy! I am a sweet, lower energy, gentle-natured girl who is ready for my perfect adoptive family. Could you be my family?

Echo Dogs fosters dogs in many states east of the Mississippi. Visit our Newcomers to see more of our dogs. Transportation for the adopted dog is available. Remember, we are an all-volunteer foster rescue organization - we DO NOT have a physical shelter to visit. Our minimum adoption donation is $350. All dogs are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations and micro-chipped. Puppies under 6 months old may not be spayed/neutered. This would be the responsibility of the adopter at their own expense. Proof of spay/neuter will be required!
