Hi there! My name is Saffron and I am a 10-month-old, 46 lb spayed female. I am already housetrained and mostly crate-trained. I am still a puppy who needs to be crated when unsupervised for my safety as I will get into things. I will mournfully howl during your absence due to some minor separation anxiety.

I am a very sweet, very friendly dog who wins over everyone I meet! Including my teenage human foster sister who can apparently be tough to win over. I am very much a puppy who is still learning that mouthiness and jumping are not acceptable methods of greeting, so any children in my home should be older. I love receiving affection and being near my people! I will welcome visitors to our home.

I am friendly with other dogs and would love a playful sibling! My current foster sister and I love to wrestle together. I love my toys and am learning how to play fetch! I am a gold medal Olympian escape artist, so I need a securely fenced yard and to be supervised when outdoors. I cannot go to a home with cats.

I am eager to please and smart! I already know some basic commands: sit, leave it, off, and down. My leash skills are a work in progress as I just get so excited to explore! I currently need to wear a secure, escape proof harness when walking while I learn leash manners. I LOVE being outside, and I LOVE being muddy! A dirty dog is a happy dog, right? That’s what I’ve heard, so not sure why foster mom isn’t thrilled with me showing off my design skills in the backyard. I am a great dog who will thrive with the perfect family—is that with you?

Echo Dogs fosters dogs in many states east of the Mississippi. Visit our Newcomers to see more of our dogs. Transportation for the adopted dog is available. Remember, we are an all-volunteer foster rescue organization - we DO NOT have a physical shelter to visit. Our minimum adoption donation is $300. All dogs are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations and micro-chipped. Puppies under 6 months old may not be spayed/neutered. This would be the responsibility of the adopter at their own expense. Proof of spay/neuter will be required!
