Hello! My name is Roxy and I am a 2-year-old, 65 lb spayed female. I am already housetrained and crate-trained. I need to be crated when left home alone.
Socializing is new for me so I need a minute to warm up to new people. With introductions, I have done well with men, women, and older children. Younger children scare me. I seek affection readily from my people and love to lay on the couch with my head in your lap! Receiving pets and snuggling are some of my favorite things. I would love a home with fewer visitors until I learn to be more confident meeting new people.
I have done well with other large dogs and would love a playful canine sibling. I like to play using my paws! I have been around small dogs and didn’t do as well, so I can’t go to a home with small dogs. I like my toys and have learned to play fetch! I have a strong prey drive so I cannot go to a home with cats.
I ride well in the car and walk well on the leash using a prong collar or head halter. I have been tagging along for outings to Tractor Supply to help improve my confidence in public spaces! I am high energy so I would love a family dedicated to providing adequate exercise and I love food so I could be a good training partner too! I am a sweet, loving girl ready for my perfect adoptive family—could that be with you?

Echo Dogs fosters dogs in many states east of the Mississippi. Visit our Newcomers to see more of our dogs. Transportation for the adopted dog is available. Remember, we are an all-volunteer foster rescue organization - we DO NOT have a physical shelter to visit. Our minimum adoption donation is $300. All dogs are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations and micro-chipped. Puppies under 6 months old may not be spayed/neutered. This would be the responsibility of the adopter at their own expense. Proof of spay/neuter will be required!
