Hi! My name is Rose and I am a 1-year-old, 60 lb spayed female. I am already housetrained and crate-trained, although I prefer my large kennel that is 4’x8’ to the crate. I’d like a family where someone could be home with me most of the day as I learn to adjust to being a part of a family. I will initially need to be crated when left home alone.

I am very reserved with new people and it took 5 days for me to allow my foster mom to pet me. I am still hesitant of things going over my head including my slip lead. If new people will sit and kneel down to allow me to approach them, I will relax a little bit although it may still take me a while to be comfortable with them and stop barking. If there are children in my home, they should be old enough to understand and respect my boundaries. Now that I have warmed up to my foster mom, I will actively seek affection and love to play with her! I think I am a lap dog and will run full speed at my foster mom to jump up at her.

I do well with other dogs and I have made a friend with another female dog at my foster home! My friend and I like to play rough and “roll” each other. I would love a confident, friendly canine sister to help show me the ropes in my new home. I haven’t quite figured out toys, but I am becoming more and more playful and may enjoy toys down the road.

I am learning off and to not be as mouthy when playing with my people. A family who will dedicate time to furthering my training would be fantastic as my leash skills are still a work in progress, although I ride well in the car. I don’t bark frequently, although I like to “talk” to you. I also like to tip water buckets, so my foster mom has a bucket secured to the side of my large kennel for me. All I need now is a family who will help me continue to blossom—are you the family I’m looking for?

This would be the responsibility of the adopter at their own expense. Proof of spay/neuter will be required!
