Hi! My name is Roman and I am an 18-month-old, 62 lb neutered male. I am already housetrained! I like having a crate available to go to when I am overwhelmed, although I am still learning it is okay to have the door closed. Its all right though, because I am trustworthy to be left uncrated when home alone as I’ve never tried to get into anything.

I am shy with new people and need some time to warm up, then I am friendly with men, women, and young children. I like to be near my family and lay next to you while you’re busy. I am a very gentle-natured boy. I would prefer a quiet home with few visitors since I am fearful with new people.

I am great with other dogs and would do best in a home with a confident, playful canine sibling who can help show me the way.  I am also friendly with cats! I enjoy spending time outdoors so a fenced yard where I can safely explore would be ideal. I like my toys although I have not quite caught onto the concept of fetch.

I am hesitant of cars and need encouragement to go for a ride. I am improving with my leash skills and will now only pull slightly! I sometimes still get nervous and will lay down to take a break, so it is a work in progress but I am improving! I am a quiet, low energy guy who would really love to find a quiet adoptive home where I can continue learning about the human world at my own pace—could that be with you?

Echo Dogs fosters dogs in many states east of the Mississippi. Visit our Newcomers to see more of our dogs. Transportation for the adopted dog is available. Remember, we are an all-volunteer foster rescue organization - we DO NOT have a physical shelter to visit. Our minimum adoption donation is $300. All dogs are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations and micro-chipped. Puppies under 6 months old may not be spayed/neutered. This would be the responsibility of the adopter at their own expense. Proof of spay/neuter will be required!
