Hi! I’m Paloma: a 4 year old, 67 lb, spayed female. I am already housebroken and crate-trained, although I am a lady who does not need to be crated when left home alone.
I am a timid girl and can take a while to warm up to people. Once I do, I am good with men, women, and young children. I have been around kids aged 5 through 8 as well as a baby and done well. I am not a super affectionate girl and will only occasionally seek affection or lay next to you on the couch. I am fearful of visitors coming into my home.
I am friendly with other dogs and wouldn’t mind having a doggy sibling to play. I have attended a few days of doggy daycare and did well there. I have also been around some cats and was fine with them, so kitties are ok too! I like to play with my toys and enjoy playing fetch with my people!
I walk well on the leash and enjoy going for my walks. I was not a fan of the car and would need plenty of coaxing to get in for a ride when I first arrived. After working on it with my foster mom, I have become more comfortable with jumping in and remaining calm for the ride. I am fearful of loud noises such as fireworks.
I am excited to be ready to look for my perfect forever family. I will “talk” and wrinkle my nose to smile at you because I’m so happy to be a member of a family! Could that be with you?

Echo Dogs fosters dogs in many states east of the Mississippi. Visit our Newcomers to see more of our dogs. Transportation for the adopted dog is available. Remember, we are an all-volunteer foster rescue organization - we DO NOT have a physical shelter to visit. Our minimum adoption donation is $300. All dogs are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations and micro-chipped. Puppies under 6 months old may not be spayed/neutered. This would be the responsibility of the adopter at their own expense. Proof of spay/neuter will be required!
