Moxie Adopted 1-4-22

Hi there! My name is Moxie and I am a 2-year-old, 65 lb spayed female. I am already housetrained and crate-trained. I am still a younger girl and do best crated when left home alone. I cannot have a dog bed in my crate or I will happily tear it apart.

I am a sociable girl with people and do well with men, women, and older children. I will actively seek affection and love to snuggle on the couch! I love to spend time with my family and am active—so a runner or hiker would be a great partner for me! I may bark when visitors first arrive, though I do well and am friendly once you welcome them into our house and introduce me.

I am aggressive with other animals and will need to be the only pet in my home. I would do best in a home with a physical fence around my yard where I can safely run and explore! I am a playful girl who loves to play fetch, tug of war, catch, and training exercises with my people! Squeaky toys are my favorite thing!!

I have been learning how to walk well on a leash with the assistance of a properly used prong collar. I am intelligent and have also learned how to sit, down, come, wait, up, and drop it while in foster. I am high energy and motivated, so I would love a family who is able to dedicate time to continuing my training! I am anxious on car rides and need to be securely tethered or crated to prevent me from pacing or jumping into the front to try to drive. I am also unsettled by seeing pedestrians or other animals outside the car while in it and will bark at them. I am learning “leave it” to help me settle during rides and am responding well. I would love to find a committed, active adoptive family—could that be you?

Echo Dogs fosters dogs in many states east of the Mississippi. Visit our Newcomers to see more of our dogs. Transportation for the adopted dog is available. Remember, we are an all-volunteer foster rescue organization - we DO NOT have a physical shelter to visit. Our minimum adoption donation is $300. All dogs are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations and micro-chipped. Puppies under 6 months old may not be spayed/neutered. This would be the responsibility of the adopter at their own expense. Proof of spay/neuter will be required!
