Hi there! My name is Lumi and I am a 1-year-old, 58 lb spayed female. I am already housetrained and crate-trained. I am still young so I need to be crated when left home alone for now.
I am fearful with new people and need time to warm up. I am more receptive to women than men, so any men in my home need to be patient and allow me to come to them when I’m ready. With my family, I am affectionate and enjoy cuddles on the couch. My foster parents say I am very sweet and loveable! If there are children in my home, they should be older as young children scare me with their fast movements.
I thrive with other dogs and will require a confident canine companion in my home. I will run and play with my foster siblings in the yard! I enjoy toys, especially chew toys, and have started playing tug with my foster siblings too! I will require a secure fenced yard at my home so I have a quiet space I can safely explore. I also love to play in the kiddie pool! I cannot go to a home with cats.
I ride well in the car and am working on my leash skills. I have learned sit, lay down, and to come when my foster mom calls me. I am a quiet girl who doesn’t bark often. I am very food-motivated and learn quickly, so a family willing to continue my training would be great! I am a gentle soul who is ready to find my perfect, patient adoptive family—could that be with you?

Echo Dogs fosters dogs in many states east of the Mississippi. Visit our Newcomers to see more of our dogs. Transportation for the adopted dog is available. Remember, we are an all-volunteer foster rescue organization - we DO NOT have a physical shelter to visit. Our minimum adoption donation is $300. All dogs are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations and micro-chipped. Puppies under 6 months old may not be spayed/neutered. This would be the responsibility of the adopter at their own expense. Proof of spay/neuter will be required!
