Hi! My name is Louie and I am an 8-month-old, 50 lb neutered male. I am already housetrained and crate-trained. I have been left home alone uncrated a couple of times and done well.

​

I take a couple of minutes to warm up to new people, then I will seek affection from men, women, and children! I love to lay on the couch with my people and ask for affection there! I am a sweet boy who is also okay with visitors to our home—I will observe them from a distance at first before approaching for attention.

​

I have done well with other dogs after slow, proper introductions. I have some playful companions I love spending time with, but if there is another dog in my new home I’d love to meet them in the Atlanta, GA area before we move in together! I love toys and have been known to empty all the toy baskets so that toys are strewn throughout the house. I will also happily play a game of fetch! I have also done well with cats.

I ride well in the car and walk well on a leash which means I am the perfect partner to tag along on outings! I have been working on my basic commands and so far am doing well with sit, down, and come. I would love to continue learning! I am ready to find my perfect adoptive family—is that you?

Echo Dogs fosters dogs in many states east of the Mississippi. Visit our Newcomers to see more of our dogs. Transportation for the adopted dog is available. Remember, we are an all-volunteer foster rescue organization - we DO NOT have a physical shelter to visit. Our minimum adoption donation is $350. All dogs are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations and micro-chipped. Puppies under 6 months old may not be spayed/neutered. This would be the responsibility of the adopter at their own expense. Proof of spay/neuter will be required!
