Hello! My name is Kane and I am a 5-year-old, 90 lb neutered male. I am already housetrained and crate-trained, although I do not need to be crated.  While I have not shown separation anxiety, I am happiest when spending timing with my family and would love a home where I won’t be alone often. I do sometimes choose to sleep in my crate at night even with the door open.

I need to be properly introduced to new people to help my feel comfortable with them. After introductions, I have done well with men, women, and children. I love receiving affection and being pet. I do not get on furniture, so instead I relax my head on your lap to solicit pets from my family. My foster mom has attempted to get me to get on the couch for some snuggles and all I’ll do is place my front paws on the couch while waiting for you to pet me. I would do best in a home with few  unannounced visitors as that makes me uneasy. I do best when you introduce me to visitors as they arrive and I will warm up quickly!

I have done well with other dogs and attended doggy daycare. It doesn’t appear there are any dogs I wouldn’t get along with as I’ve met many now. I would love to have a canine sibling or two in my adoptive home. I have also been around smaller livestock, particularly chickens & pigs, and did well with them. The horses are a bit much for me and I do bark at them. I like my toys and know how to play fetch! I cannot go to a home with cats.

I am a calm, low energy boy though I still love my outings! I know my basic commands, how to ride well in the car, and how to walk well on leash. My favorite activity ever is playing in water! I love our trips down to the creek where I can splash around or when I get a chance to play in the spray of the hose! I have also tried to join my foster mom in the shower to play in the water! I am a happy, well-behaved boy who is ready to find my adoptive family—is that you

Echo Dogs fosters dogs in many states east of the Mississippi. Visit our Newcomers to see more of our dogs. Transportation for the adopted dog is available. Remember, we are an all-volunteer foster rescue organization - we DO NOT have a physical shelter to visit. Our minimum adoption donation is $300. All dogs are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations and micro-chipped. Puppies under 6 months old may not be spayed/neutered. This would be the responsibility of the adopter at their own expense. Proof of spay/neuter will be required!
