Hi! My name is Kadoka (aka Athena) and I am a 1-year-old, 40 lb spayed female. I am already housetrained and crate-trained. I am trustworthy not being crated when left alone.

I have done well with men, women, and older children. I will seek affection and thoroughly believe I am a lap dog. I give A+ snuggles after enthusiastically inserting myself onto your lap! I am still young and can be mouthy when I get excited, though I am learning more appropriate ways to get your attention. I will alert bark when new people come to our house and can be insecure at first, so need a little bit to warm up.

I am good with other dogs and wouldn’t mind having a canine sibling or two. I love my toys and will play fetch! I (secretly) hoard Kong toys under the blankets in my crate for safekeeping. I love having the space to run full-speed in my yard and would love to have that in my adoptive home too! I cannot go to a home with cats.

I like joining my humans for car rides and would enjoy getting out! My leash skills are still a work in progress as I currently view it as training for the Iditarod. I am high energy, so a family willing to continue my training and socialization would be ideal! I will do anything for some peanut butter, snacks, or even my kibbles which makes food an easy reinforcer during training! I am a fun-loving, energetic, sweet girl who is ready to find my perfect adoptive home—could that be with you?

Echo Dogs fosters dogs in many states east of the Mississippi. Visit our Newcomers to see more of our dogs. Transportation for the adopted dog is available. Remember, we are an all-volunteer foster rescue organization - we DO NOT have a physical shelter to visit. Our minimum adoption donation is $300. All dogs are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations and micro-chipped. Puppies under 6 months old may not be spayed/neutered. This would be the responsibility of the adopter at their own expense. Proof of spay/neuter will be required!
