Hello! My name is Gunnar and I am a 1-year-old, 50 lb neutered male. I am already housetrained as long as I am kept on a schedule. I am also already crate-trained and have done well crated when left home alone. I am still young and want to explore things I can chew so I should be crated when left home alone. I’m a big fan of bully sticks and dried beef cheeks!

I have never met a stranger and do well meeting men, women, and children! While I haven’t met any real small children, I haven’t shown any reason I wouldn’t do well if properly introduced with how friendly I am. I am great about being handled, am not mouthy, and absolutely love snuggling!! I love to curl up around my humans on the couch. I am happy to welcome any visitors into our home.

I absolutely love playing with dogs of all sizes! I sometime can have a rambunctious play style and would love having a sibling who shares that enthusiasm, though I am also very good about accepting corrections from less playful dogs when they don’t want to wrestle with me. I love toys and will do best with plenty of sturdy toys around I can chew on and softer toys or balls for playing fetch! I cannot go to a home with cats.

I love joining for car rides and have been working on my leash skills so that I can join you for outings! I still pull a little bit on the leash (also, trying to chase squirrels is my not-so-guilty pleasure…). I have learned sit! My foster parents say I am super smart and will thrive with continued training and exercise. I’m a happy, active, loveable boy who is ready to find my perfect adoptive family—are you my family?

Echo Dogs fosters dogs in many states east of the Mississippi. Visit our Newcomers to see more of our dogs. Transportation for the adopted dog is available. Remember, we are an all-volunteer foster rescue organization - we DO NOT have a physical shelter to visit. Our minimum adoption donation is $350. All dogs are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations and micro-chipped. Puppies under 6 months old may not be spayed/neutered. This would be the responsibility of the adopter at their own expense. Proof of spay/neuter will be required!
