Hi! My name is Evelyn and I am a 2-year-old, 55 lb spayed female. I am already housetrained and crate-trained—the bigger the crate, the better as I love to spread out to get comfortable. I need to be crated when left home alone as I like to test the theory that inedible objects are in fact inedible.

I adore people and want to make all the friends! Men, women, and children are all awesome! I will happily welcome any and all visitors into our home so they can pet me. I like sitting in chairs and cuddling with my humans. I think human affection is the best thing ever! I may steal your blanket to carry it around and cuddle if you let me though. I have my own blanket at my foster home!

I am completely indifferent to male dogs after a proper introduction and currently coexist well with my foster brother. If I were the only dog, I’d be totally cool with that too. I display same-sex aggression towards other female dogs, so I cannot go to a home with other female dogs. Cats are snacks—so no cats in my home please. I like my toys! My favorite toys and my food are mine and I’ll guard them from other dogs so they know they’re mine too.

I pull slightly on the leash and ride well in the car, so I’m always up for an adventure! I have had a rough go of things since joining Echo Dogs with having to raise 9 pests (puppies?), then a bloat episode, then heartworm treatment, then a spay with complications. I am finally healthy and ready to go find my adoptive family—could that be with you?

Echo Dogs fosters dogs in many states east of the Mississippi. Visit our Newcomers to see more of our dogs. Transportation for the adopted dog is available. Remember, we are an all-volunteer foster rescue organization - we DO NOT have a physical shelter to visit. Our minimum adoption donation is $300. All dogs are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations and micro-chipped. Puppies under 6 months old may not be spayed/neutered. This would be the responsibility of the adopter at their own expense. Proof of spay/neuter will be required!
