Hello! My name is Cosmo and I am an 18-month-old, 62 lb, gorgeous neutered male. I am already housetrained and crate-trained, although I will sometimes complain about crate time by whining. I am a big puppy who will get into things and explore things I shouldn’t when left unsupervised, so I will need to be crated when home alone.

I love people! People are great. I love men, women, and older kids. I am still learning how big I am and spatial awareness, so I would likely be too much for small kids. I am extremely affectionate and love to snuggle with my humans. I will lay up against you on the couch and take long naps. I will also welcome visitors into our home!

I am selective with other dogs and prefer females rather than other males. I have a rough play style and that will need to be matched in any canine playmates. I can become easily overaroused causing escalation when in a pack setting so would do best with only one other dog at a time. I like having toys around! I have an intense prey drive and cannot be trusted around cats, small dogs, or any other small animals.

I ride well in a car and enjoy going for outings. My leash skills are a work in progress as I am strong and like to pull. I am smart and would love a family who will continue my training. I currently eat a salmon-based food as I seem to have some allergies to beef and chicken. I had an old injury to my hind right leg when I arrived to Echo Dogs so it had to be amputated, but that hasn’t slowed me down at all! I am still adjusting to stairs and jumps though. I am a high energy boy and would love an active family! Could you be my family?

Echo Dogs fosters dogs in many states east of the Mississippi. Visit our Newcomers to see more of our dogs. Transportation for the adopted dog is available. Remember, we are an all-volunteer foster rescue organization - we DO NOT have a physical shelter to visit. Our minimum adoption donation is $300. All dogs are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations and micro-chipped. Puppies under 6 months old may not be spayed/neutered. This would be the responsibility of the adopter at their own expense. Proof of spay/neuter will be required!
