Hello! My name is Boston and I am a 5-year-old, 75 lb neutered male. I am already housetrained and crate-trained. I understand going into my crate on cue and am not pushy when coming out. I sleep in my crate at night and am crated when home alone at my foster home for my safety.

 

I am a social, happy boy! I am always eager to meet new people including men, women, and children. I have been particularly gentle when meeting young children in the neighborhood, although I may have too much rambunctious energy inside for small children who aren’t dog-savvy. I am a Velcro Dog who is always near my foster mom. I adore any kind of affection from humans and will soak it all up in the form of cuddles! I will welcome visitors into our home.

I have done well with other dogs and wouldn’t mind having a canine sibling, although I play rough. I love my toys and absolutely love to play fetch!! I would love to have yard space where I can hang outside with you, explore safely, and play outdoors with you. I will tear apart stuffy toys so need supervised with soft toys. I love Kong toys! I cannot go to a home with cats.

I have been doing well with leash training and I ride well in the car—making me the perfect adventure partner! I have learned to sit when being leashed up and am nonreactive to other people and/or dogs we see on walks. I am working on my basic commands and thrive in a structured environment, so I would flourish in a home willing to continue my training! I do have some arthritis in my hind left leg that is managed with daily joint supplements, it doesn’t slow me down! I am a happy, energetic, curious, and intelligent boy who is ready for the perfect adoptive family—is that yours?
