Hi there! My name is Chase and I am a 1-year-old, 65 lb neutered male. I am already housetrained and crate-trained. I am currently crated when alone so I don’t snack on the throw rugs.
I have done well meeting men, women, and older children. I crave affection and will soak up as much as I can—I especially love having my chest or ears rubbed! I will try to herd small children so a home without them would be ideal for now. I will alert you to visitors to our home and greet them when they come inside.
I play well with other dogs of both sexes and wouldn’t mind having a canine sibling or living by myself! I can get a bit excited about being with other dogs and am generally calmer when by myself. I have lived with a cat in a previous home and did well, although I would chase if I saw the cat outside. I haven’t been around cats in my foster home. I enjoy playing with hard toys and spending time outside.
I like going for car rides and am making good progress with my training! I would thrive with someone willing to continue working with me! So far I have learned sit, heel, and come. I do very well on walks with a properly utilized prong collar, though I am still working on calmly passing other walkers. I am an affectionate, intelligent boy who is ready to find my perfect adoptive family—could that be with you?

Echo Dogs fosters dogs in many states east of the Mississippi. Visit our Newcomers to see more of our dogs. Transportation for the adopted dog is available. Remember, we are an all-volunteer foster rescue organization - we DO NOT have a physical shelter to visit. Our minimum adoption donation is $350. All dogs are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations and micro-chipped. Puppies under 6 months old may not be spayed/neutered. This would be the responsibility of the adopter at their own expense. Proof of spay/neuter will be required!
