Hi! My name is Charlotte, or “Charlie”, and I am a 4-month-old, 35 lb female. I am working on house and crate-training, although I am still a puppy so I am learning! And because I am a puppy, I will need to be crated when I am unsupervised to keep me safe.

I love all people and am a social butterfly! I will roll over for belly rubs and actively seek affection. I am still learning not to be jumpy or mouthy when I am excited, so I’d do best in a home with no small children. I am welcoming to visitors!

I do well with other dogs and cats. I have a couple cats in my foster home and enjoy following them around.  I love my toys and have learned how to play fetch in moderation! I am good at self-entertaining with my toys or a bully stick, although I will also engage my humans in some play too!

I have learned my basic commands and enjoy training. I love my walks and am working on mastering my leash skills. I am medium energy.

I have aortic stenosis, which is a hereditary condition where there is narrowing present in my heart valves preventing maximum efficiency. I will require monitoring and cannot partake in strenuous exercise. I also take daily heart medications to slow my heartrate to improve the efficiency of my bloodflow. My life span will be shorter than a healthy dog, but my cardiologist is not sure exactly how long I will live - it could be up to a few years if I keep doing well! Due to my heart condition, it is unsafe for me to undergo a spay procedure so my family must be willing to practice responsible ownership of an intact dog.

I am a smart, sweet, savvy girl who is looking for my special, amazing adoptive home. Could that be with you?

Echo Dogs fosters dogs in many states east of the Mississippi. Visit our Newcomers to see more of our dogs. Transportation for the adopted dog is available. Remember, we are an all-volunteer foster rescue organization - we DO NOT have a physical shelter to visit. Our minimum adoption donation is $300. All dogs are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations and micro-chipped. Puppies under 6 months old may not be spayed/neutered. This would be the responsibility of the adopter at their own expense. Proof of spay/neuter will be required!
