Hello! My name is Bowie and I am a 10-month-old, 40 lb neutered male. I am already housetrained and crate-trained. I am still young so I should be crated when left home alone—I will go right in when told to “kennel”!

I am quite shy when meeting new people and need time to warm up. I may bark at first before settling. I warm up quicker to women. Men are scary for me so any men in my home will need to be very patient in letting me adjust to them. Once I am comfortable, I am a lovebug! I love to snuggle and curl up with my family—I love affection from humans I trust!

I love other dogs and would benefit from having a confident canine sibling to help show me the ropes! I am a playful pup and would love a playmate. I like toys, especially balls, and am happy to play a game of fetch with you! I have done well with cats too, so I would be okay with feline companions.

I have been working on learning cues such as “sit” and “drop it” and am learning well! I would love a family willing to continue working on my training and socialization. I am still learning that car rides are a good thing and how to walk in a straight line when on leash. I love getting baths! I am a sweet boy who is ready to find my perfect adoptive home—could that be with you?

Echo Dogs fosters dogs in many states. Visit www.echodogs.org/available-dogs to see more of our dogs. Transportation for the adopted dog IS available. Remember, we are an all-volunteer foster rescue organization - we DO NOT have a physical shelter to visit. Our minimum adoption donation is $350. All dogs are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations and micro-chipped. Puppies under 6 months old may not be spayed/neutered. This would be the responsibility of the adopter at their own expense. Proof of spay/neuter will be required!
