Hello! My name is Bhalin and I am a 5-year-old, 80 lb neutered male. I am already housetrained. While I will go into my crate throughout the day to take a nap with the door open, I will panic and attempt to break my way out of the crate when the door is shut so I will need continued practice with my crate-training. Luckily, I do not need to be crated when left home alone and am not destructive.
I am friendly with both men and women after a proper introduction. I would do best in a home without children. I love receiving affection and will actively seek it! Cuddling on the couch and being told I am a good boy are my favorite things! I will also lean in to rub against your legs when I’m happy.
I take time to warm up to new dogs and will meet them with aggression initially. I have successfully been integrated with another large male and medium/large female after weeks of slow introductions and doing it one-at-a-time. For now, I would do best as an only dog until I learn how to better introduce myself to other dogs. I cannot live with small dogs or cats for fear of me harming them. I ADORE my toys and the toybox was the first thing I explored when I arrived at my foster home! I would love a secure fenced yard so we can safely play hours of fetch—I will go until your arm falls off!
I am reactive to other dogs and people when on leash and will pull. I have been working on my leash manners utilizing a prong collar which I respond to beautifully! I am intelligent and already know sit, down, stay, come, and paw. I also ride well in the car and am perfect for my groomer! I am already muzzle-trained so I can work on my reactivity safely. I am currently scheduled to spend a week with my trainer starting 9/20/21 to continue improving with my reactivity and insecurity. I would love to continue my training with an experienced, dedicated adopter—could that be with you?

Echo Dogs fosters dogs in many states east of the Mississippi. Visit our Newcomers to see more of our dogs. Transportation for the adopted dog is available. Remember, we are an all-volunteer foster rescue organization - we DO NOT have a physical shelter to visit. Our minimum adoption donation is $300. All dogs are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations and micro-chipped. Puppies under 6 months old may not be spayed/neutered. This would be the responsibility of the adopter at their own expense. Proof of spay/neuter will be required!
